Treg's AEO Toolkit: see who AI recommends in your market
Mostly fact, with marketing gloss: it's a working copy-paste agent prompt that asks ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Mode and Perplexity your buyers' questions, records which brands get named and which sites get cited, finds the people behind those sites and drafts (but never sends) outreach, for about $0.31 per full audit by Treg's own figures, with $1 free to start. The hype: '1 cent per prompt' is per question, not per audit, you need a Treg sign-in and a prepaid balance, and 'open source' is really source-available (Apache 2.0 plus a no-hosting clause). Claude is in the headline but isn't actually queried, and the tool measures and drafts; nothing proves it gets you recommended.
Why it mattersIt's a cheap way to see where you stand in AI answers and which sites to approach. Run each question a few times, because AI answers vary, and follow UK GDPR and PECR rules for any outreach it drafts.
