OpenAI buys Orchestra Bio, whose agents run drug-development operations
OpenAI is acquiring Orchestra Bio, whose agents coordinate the operational side of drug development, for example working out how a failed manufacturing batch will delay a clinical trial. It joins OpenAI's Rosalind life-sciences models, and the terms weren't disclosed.
Why it mattersIt shows where agents are starting to earn their keep: watching many moving parts of an operation and flagging the knock-on effects. The same idea applies to supply chains, client projects and events in any business.
