@steipete: a two-week agent loop rewrote his app's front end

2 sources · Part of the 21 October 2026 edition

Peter Steinberger ran a long agent loop to move OpenClaw's web front end from one framework (Lit) to another (Solid 2.0): about six days to remove the old one and another week to tidy up, checking in every other day. One model planned, GPT-6.1 Sol wrote the code through Codex CLI, and a second agent kept the work on track, which he says works far better than sub-agents; it was mostly automatic, with a few small visual glitches the agent missed.

Why it mattersLong, dull migrations are where agent loops shine, as long as a person checks in regularly and a second 'supervisor' agent keeps things on course. Leave time for a final human check of how everything looks.
