Rerun offers AI agents "complete" LinkedIn access for $9, with "no risk of getting banned". The ban part is hype
Rerun, an AI-coworker app, is promoting LinkedIn Pro. It lets its AI agents search for prospects, read profiles, send connection requests and messages, comment and post from your LinkedIn account. It costs $9 a month per LinkedIn account on top of a $29-a-month Rerun Cloud plan, and it isn't in Rerun's free open-source version. It doesn't use LinkedIn's official API. It runs through LinkupAPI, a third-party automation service, and you connect with your LinkedIn login.
Why it mattersLinkedIn's User Agreement bans bots that send messages or post, and bans sharing your log-in. LinkedIn says members who use such tools risk having their accounts restricted or shut down. Even Rerun calls it "not very risky at all" in its replies, not risk-free. If LinkedIn is where your customers find you, don't gamble the account: keep volumes low, approve every message and don't hand over your password lightly. In the UK, marketing DMs to individuals also fall under PECR consent rules. Our check rates "no risk of getting banned" as hype. We haven't tested it. Disclosure: Rerun markets itself as an alternative to Grok Bot, which this site uses to help run it, and Sara's company's product Cora is a similar open-source team-agent product.
