Grok Bot's Data Bot: SpaceXSI shows a shared Team Bot that answers everyone's data questions
SpaceXSI says its data science team built Data Bot, a shared Grok Bot "Team Bot" that anyone at the company can ask. It runs read-only queries on approved warehouse tables, follows the data team's own metric definitions and chart style, builds Hex dashboards and posts scheduled metric updates in Slack. PMs use it to dig into product usage and marketers to see what a campaign actually achieved. SpaceXSI estimates it saved about 70 hours of data-team work in a week. A starter Data Bot template is public, and Team Bots are in public beta on Teams and Enterprise plans.
Why it mattersIt's a concrete, detailed example of a shared AI agent doing real internal work. But it's the company describing its own product, and the numbers are its own estimates. What makes it work is two years of data-team skills for 45,000 tables, which the public template doesn't include. Our check rates the "data scientist on demand" claim partly fact. We haven't tested it. Disclosure: this site uses Grok Bot to help run it, and Sara's company's product Cora works with Grok.
