Rumour, not a release: 'GPT-6.2'

4 November 2026, 00:25 · 2 sources · Curated by Sara Simeone

Screenshots and model names spotted in Codex have people expecting a 'GPT-6.2 Astra', and an OpenAI engineer's four-word post ('Le GPT Fat') added fuel. As of tonight OpenAI hasn't announced it, and there are no docs or prices. One viral 'pure SVG' clip used as evidence was later admitted by its poster, @Mr_Salio, to have been 'enhanced' beyond the original.

Why it mattersDon't change plans or budgets on rumours. Wait for the release notes and pricing page.
