Honest take

No red flags in our notes so far

  • Fact or hype verdict on Anthropic: Claude for Legal artifacts gallery: worth a look for the pattern rather than the legal content: start from a template, give clear business context, and ask for an interactive tracker with owners and status, then spin a line item into a document. That pattern works for any department. Source video
  • Fact or hype verdict on Theo (t3.gg): tstack, his agent skills for Claude Code and Codex (sol-loop, full-send, full-stop, takeover): a clean, real-world example of turning daily routines into named skills that call each other; worth copying the patterns (trigger-style descriptions, capped review loops, "when to ask me" rules) even if you never run his exact setup. Source video
  • Fact or hype verdict on Jake Dabrowski: Claude Code workflow for AI dropshipping videos (reposted by @Dimentorio, video notes): the prompting and editing tips are genuinely useful for product video; copy the craft, not the fake-endorsement tactics. Source video
  • S-1 IPO filing (SEC accession 0001628280-26-067168, filed 26 Oct 2026; Anthropic news post anthropic.com/news/s1-sec).
  • Figures checked against the S-1 summary tables.
  • Also in the filing: FY2025 revenue $4.6B, net loss $42.0B; Q2 2026 'Adjusted Operating Income' $2.2B (19% margin) is a non-GAAP figure.
  • The filing isn't effective yet, and no valuation or price is set, so none is recorded here.

Latest update

  • : Anthropic research: in a deliberately one-sided test, Claude agents wrote training data that passed a production-like monitor yet made a small research model misaligned. The models were never deployed; Anthropic calls it a first step towards better monitors.
  • 2026-10-30: Claude mobile app upgrades: voice mode on Apple CarPlay, faster voice mode that hears better in noise, app now in 33 languages (24 new), multiple signed-in accounts, laptop-style Android app on Chromebooks and foldables, and creations opening beside the chat on iPad; pull-down search coming soon.
  • : Plans renamed (30 Oct): Max 5x becomes Max ($100/month) and Max 20x becomes Ultra ($200/month), prices unchanged. Verified Ultra accounts no longer have the 5-hour limit; weekly limits stay. Separately, a server-side Claude Code instruction (reported from ~27 Oct) blocks recreating specific existing games; no user toggle, no Anthropic comment.
  • : Anthropic drug-development update (27 Oct): six partners (BigHat, BMS, Divergence, Enveda, Generate, The Column Group) and the acquisition of one-person biotech Mithril Medicine; mostly preclinical. Same day: GSA OneGov deal, 40% off token-based Claude for federal, state, local, tribal and territorial government.
  • : Anthropic filed an S-1 for a Nasdaq IPO (ticker ANT). Q2 2026 revenue $11.6B and operating income $974M; H1 2026 revenue $16.3B, operating loss $693M, net loss $80.7B (mostly $72.4B non-cash fair-value charges).
  • : Claude for Nonprofits plugin: skills and connectors built with ~30 nonprofits for fundraising (funder research, RFP go/no-go, proposals, grant reports), marketing, hiring and board work; auto-installed free for nonprofits on Team/Enterprise. 25,000+ nonprofits use Claude.
  • : MCP Tasks (long-running jobs run in the background) and Elicitations (an MCP server can ask you for input via a form or URL) in public beta in Claude Code CLI v2.1.304+, the Agent SDK and GitHub Actions; not yet in VS Code or desktop.
  • : Claude Models on Google Cloud (Anthropic managed) is generally available: the full Claude Platform (Managed Agents, code execution, Skills API, Opus 5.5 fast mode) from a Google Cloud account with Google IAM, billing and commitment drawdown; new features ship the same day as on the native platform.
  • : From next week Claude web, desktop and mobile sessions run in auto mode by default on Pro, Max and Team: instead of approving each step, an automated check blocks risky actions; you can switch back to manual anytime.
  • : Anthropic is donating the Agent Skills standard (used by 70+ agent platforms incl. ChatGPT, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, VS Code) to the Agentic AI Foundation, home of MCP; existing skills and licences are unchanged, and a steering committee from Anthropic, Google, Microsoft, OpenAI, OpenCode and Earendil will publish a roadmap with versioned releases and security guidance for skill authors.
  • : Frontier Red Team research: with Theorem Labs, Anthropic used Claude to formally verify (prove) security properties in 100+ real-world open-source libraries in a few weeks. Use case: formal verification at large-codebase scale, which used to need lots of expert time.
  • : Claude API version 2026-10-21 released, the first official API version since 2023, with new major Anthropic SDKs and ant CLI defaulting to it: temperature, top_p and top_k are removed from the Messages API, and assistant-turn documents or user-turn citations now return a 400 (2023-06-01 is not deprecated). Use case: run the /claude-api skill in Claude Code to migrate your code.
  • : Claude Security now re-scans connected repos (GitHub, GitLab and other Git providers) as code changes, auto-closes findings once fixed, reopens them if issues return, writes an editable threat model per project, and pushes findings to your tools via a new API and MCP connector; public beta on Claude Enterprise, eligible orgs get $25K usage credits a month for two months (through 31 Dec 2026).
  • : Use case: with Citrini, Claude designed protein binders against five scorpion neurotoxins, generating 300,000+ designs in 64 hours; 17 of 211 lab-tested designs bound to the toxins. All 211 designs and the lab data are released for scientists (exploratory, not an antivenom yet).
  • : Launched OSS Scanner: free, periodic vulnerability scans of critical open-source projects using Anthropic's strongest models, each finding with a proof-of-concept and a patch where possible; first scans reported 77 critical and 803 high model-rated findings (maintainers can apply).
