Jake Dabrowski's Claude Code workflow for product videos (dropshipping)

A 32-minute screen recording by Jake Dabrowski, reposted by @Dimentorio. He uses Claude Code in VS Code to design packaging for a cheap AliExpress pet bed, write prompts for three AI 'customer reaction' videos, fix the mistakes, upscale the clips in Topaz Video AI and edit them in CapCut. Verdict: the prompting and editing craft is genuinely useful for anyone making product videos; intermediate to advanced, and coding is needed because the video generation runs through his own scripts (he mentions the Higgsfield API), which he doesn't share. No sales or results are shown, it doubles as a pitch for his coaching, and two things to avoid: he puts the real PetSmart logo in a fake 'collab' video, which is a trademark problem, and fully AI-made 'reaction' videos of a product that doesn't exist can break TikTok and Meta ad rules and UK and US advertising law.

Try this

  1. Work in one project folder with Claude Code so your prompts and product files carry over between sessions. 0:15
  2. Skip products already flooded with viral videos; look for plain ones with little video marketing. 3:10
  3. Give the AI the real product dimensions when designing packaging so it looks the right size. 4:50
  4. Make a clean white-background product image first and reuse it as the reference in every scene. 5:36
  5. Delete the image versions you rejected so the AI can't pick the wrong one later. 7:41
  6. Write very specific video prompts: who, age, hair, setting, action and camera angle. 11:21
  7. Use silent reactions instead of people talking, to avoid bad lip-sync. 12:28
  8. Fix a mistake by giving the AI a real reference image instead of describing it. 18:41
  9. Upscale AI clips (he uses Topaz Video AI, to 2K at 60fps) before you edit. 22:15
  10. In CapCut, put cuts and text pop-ups on the beat markers of the music. 27:31

Cost

API costs aren't covered; the video generation runs through his own scripts (he mentions the Higgsfield API), and he uses Topaz Video AI and CapCut.
