Chris Tate: wterm terminals that AI agents can use

4 November 2026, 00:14 · 2 sources · Curated by Sara Simeone

Chris Tate (Vercel) says wterm, his web terminal component, now supports WebMCP, so AI agents can list, read and type into terminals on a web page, opt-in per terminal and with a read-only mode. He also posted AI CLI and Vercel Security Review and an agent-browser update that warns when your Chrome is out of date on security fixes.

Why it mattersDeveloper-niche, but the agent-browser warning is a good habit for anyone: keep the browser your agent uses up to date.
