Matt Pocock's prompt of the day: turn a one-way door into a two-way door
Matt Pocock (@mattpocockuk) suggests asking your coding agent to split a risky, hard-to-undo change into two: first a PR that does everything but can easily be reverted, then a follow-up PR stacked on top that takes the irreversible step, using feature flags where needed. It lets you test most of a big change in production before you commit to it. (For graph engineering, see the Google Graph RAG codelab in Worth testing below.)
Why it mattersThe idea works far beyond code: ask AI to stage any hard-to-undo change (a price rise, a CRM migration, a new booking system) as a reversible trial first and a final switch-over later.
