Hi3D V1.0: a free, open image-to-3D model
Hi3D (formerly Sparc3D) released the code and weights of its V1.0 3D model, plus a free online demo. The team says it was trained on about 2 million 3D assets and claims a 90% 'slicing success' rate (its own figures); its best model, V3.0, stays paid, and we haven't checked the licence. Spotted by @kimmonismus.
Why it mattersUseful if you make product mock-ups, 3D prints or game assets: try the free demo on one product photo before paying for a 3D service.
