OpenAI's GPT-6.1 Terra: a cheaper, faster model that can use your screen
OpenAI released GPT-6.1 Terra, a fast model built for computer use (reading the screen and clicking through apps), visual reasoning and more natural writing. It's in ChatGPT Work and Codex on paid plans (Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu), not in regular chat, and in the API at $1 per million input tokens and $5 per million output tokens, half the price of GPT-6.1 Sol.
Why it mattersA cheap model that can drive a screen makes automating repetitive admin affordable; OpenAI's own example is reading incoming invoices into accounting software. Test it on one real form-filling task against your current model before you switch anything.
