Security roundup: a medical lab breach and a warning from Cloudflare's CEO
Quest Diagnostics confirmed a breach of a portal used by lab clients, with patient health and personal data accessed; the number of people affected isn't known, and Quest hasn't linked it to AI. @kimmonismus also shared a reported quote from Cloudflare's CEO Matthew Prince warning that AI is uncovering long-hidden software flaws and could mean years of weekly security crises; we couldn't check the original interview, so treat it as reported.
Why it mattersThis week's pattern is clear: attacks are getting cheaper to find. Check your suppliers' portals use two-step login, and ask anyone who holds your customer data how quickly they'd tell you about a breach.
