Report: Anthropic may be testing different Claude Max limits

1 source · Part of the 24 October 2026 edition

SemiAnalysis reports that Anthropic is A/B testing Claude Max usage limits, with one tested account getting roughly 20% more per 5-hour window but about 20% less per week. That's based on a single account, and Anthropic hasn't confirmed it. @kimmonismus shared the report.

Why it mattersIf your heavy Claude weeks suddenly run out sooner (or later) than usual, this could be why. Keep an eye on your usage page before planning a big client sprint.
