Meta opens Muse 'spaces' to all users, letting them build trackers and planners in chat
Users describe a tracker, planner or project board and Muse builds it, with third-party app connections keeping prices and dates current in the background, according to Meta.

Meta has begun rolling out "spaces" to all users of its Muse AI assistant, allowing them to build customised, app-like experiences inside the app, according to The Verge and TechCrunch. A space is created by describing an idea in chat, after which Muse works toward that particular goal on the user's behalf; Meta's examples include a shopping hub, school dashboard, music tracker and trivia game. The release places the feature within the wider contest among AI companies to attach persistent, task-oriented agents to their models, rather than leaving users in single-session chat.
Meta frames the feature as a set of "custom experiences". "Describe an idea in chat, and Muse builds a space for you, whether that's a tracker, a planner or a project board," the company said, according to TechCrunch. Users can continue to tweak a space by asking Muse, and can interact with it by checking things off, adding notes and making edits, The Verge reported. Spaces sit in the sidebar of the Muse interface, and can be moved into the main tab or scheduled: Meta's example is keeping a weekly planner up front during the workweek and swapping it for weekend plans on Saturday.
TechCrunch's reporter characterised the spaces as "basically breakout conversations" organised around a topic, while noting that Meta calls them "custom experiences". Reported use cases include planning a holiday, collecting recipes for a family event, a holiday gift tracker, a wedding planner and a space for DIY projects. On integration with other services, Meta said: "Connect the apps you use, and your spaces keep themselves up to date in the background, so new concert dates, price changes, or savings progress show up without you having to ask."
According to TechCrunch, Meta chief executive Mark Zuckerberg posted about the feature on X on Friday: "Playing around with spaces in Muse lately — tell Muse what you need and it builds it. I've made a BBQ game, an event tracker, and a home control dashboard. Excited to see what you build." The same report said Zuckerberg told an earnings call in October that the Muse agents had 10 million users in the United States and Canada, less than two months after they debuted, and that Meta announced Muse Voice, allowing users to video chat with their agent and give commands verbally, on the preceding Thursday. TechCrunch also reported that Meta is competing with other cartoonish AI agents, including OpenAI's dots and SpaceXAI's Grokbot.
The rollout accompanies what The Verge described as a "specialized" version of Meta's Muse Wonder AI model. Meta says it is looking into ways for users to share spaces with others and collaborate on them; neither source gives a timeline for that, and no details of availability outside the stated all-user rollout were provided.
