MARKETING & SALES · WORTH A LOOK
traxy
Finds people who like, comment on or post about topics on LinkedIn, scores them against your ideal customer profile, finds their email and can run outreach. New: plain-English "social intent search" over what traxy says are 71M+ LinkedIn engagements, also usable from Claude or ChatGPT via MCP.
What traxy does
traxy (traxy, inc., New York; founder Ben Buaron) is a LinkedIn lead-generation tool. You add profiles to watch (your own, competitors, creators) or describe your buyer, and traxy surfaces people who engage with relevant posts, scores them against your ideal customer profile, enriches contact details and can write and send LinkedIn and email outreach from your own connected accounts. On 29 Oct 2026 it launched Social Intent Search: you type a request such as "find me founders looking for AEO help" and it searches a database that traxy says holds more than 71 million LinkedIn likes, posts and comments it "scanned" over the previous couple of months. It also has a remote MCP server (OAuth) so Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other clients can read leads and run discovery. traxy does not say how the LinkedIn data is collected, and LinkedIn's User Agreement bans scraping or copying its data with automated tools. Instagram and Facebook groups are listed as coming soon.

Honest take
No red flags in our notes so far
- Good idea for B2B prospecting: instead of filtering by job title, you find people who publicly asked about, commented on or liked posts about the problem you solve, with the post as evidence. We haven't tested it.
- The 71 million figure is traxy's own and can't be checked from outside. "Start searching free" means a 7-day free trial; after that it's $149/month and payments are non-refundable.
- Big caveat: traxy doesn't say how it collects LinkedIn data. Its FAQ says it doesn't log in to LinkedIn and watches public engagement, while its privacy policy says it accesses LinkedIn only through user-authorised connections. LinkedIn's User Agreement (section 8.2) bans scraping and copying its data, and its terms put the risk of LinkedIn account restrictions on you.
- If you're in the UK or EU, you'd be using personal data about people who don't know you have it. You'd need a legitimate-interests case, to tell people where you got their data at the latest in your first message (GDPR Art. 14), and to stop when they object (Art. 21). LinkedIn DMs and emails to sole traders count as electronic marketing under PECR.
