Altman: the model behind OpenAI's Navier–Stokes result is coming 'very soon' (no date)
In a clip shared by @kimmonismus, Sam Altman says the model that produced OpenAI's Navier–Stokes result will be released 'very soon'. Posts call it a Millennium Prize result; what OpenAI has reported is a proof about singularities in the forced Navier–Stokes equations, and I haven't seen an independent review. There's no name, date or price, and claims that it's 'GPT-6.2 Astra' or was 'solved in 4 days' are speculation. Also unconfirmed: posts saying a 'Fable 5.5' checkpoint is being tested in public, and that Qwen 4 lands this week.
Why it mattersTreat it as a heads-up, not a plan: a strong maths and science model could matter for R&D and engineering firms, but wait for the release notes and pricing.
