DeepSeek shares its blueprint for an always-on 'Super-agent'
The DeepSeek Harness team published a long essay on what it calls a Super-agent: one assistant that stays online, keeps its context across chat and GitHub, works on several tasks in parallel and acts on events without being asked. The design uses a light 'router' agent that talks to people and hands work to isolated worker agents, plus a watchdog that restarts it when something breaks. DeepSeek says its internal version already fixes issues and answers code reviews daily, and it released a research prototype on GitHub that it says is not an official product.
Why it mattersThis is where agent tools are heading: away from juggling chat windows and towards one agent that watches your team's channels and picks up the work. The prototype is research code for developers. Most businesses should treat this as a preview of the next year of agent products, not something to install on Monday.
