AI SEARCH TIP · 27 OCTOBER 2026
Win the specific question, not 'best [category]'
Stop chasing generic prompts like 'best AI training company' and build one genuine page for each specific buyer question you can really answer: a use case ('AI training for accountancy firms'), an integration ('Claude and HubSpot workshop'), a compliance need or a company size. In a May-June 2026 study of 139,776 answers across eight AI engines (B2B software only), challenger brands got just 14% of recommendations on generic 'best [category]' prompts but 34-41% when the prompt named a use case, integration, compliance need or company size. That's observational data from a vendor (MaxAEO sells AEO tracking), and it warns against mass-producing near-duplicate pages, as does Google, so make each page genuinely useful. To check it's working, write down five such questions your buyers ask and run them monthly in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Mode, noting whether you're named and cited.
That's it for today.
