HYPE OR FACT? · CHECKED 5 NOVEMBER 2026
Do Strawberry's Jev-powered app triggers really watch events and resume agent work for cents?
OUR VERDICT
Partly factOur original verdict: “Strawberry's official 5 Nov 2026 post announces Jev (TypeSafe AI) powered app triggers: monitor app events (examples: Gmail support + Notion FAQ drafts; Slack NDA reply + Drive filing) and resume companion work. The 74-second launch video is entirely conceptual motion graphics — no live UI, no proof of triggers firing, auth, limits or reliability. On-screen cost claims ('monitor hundreds of events for cents', '119x cheaper than Opus', chart $0.36 Jev vs $43.31 Claude Opus 5) are the vendor's comparison only; we did not measure end-to-end cost. Strawberry's site lists a Free plan (500 credits/month, $0) plus paid Intern $20 / Part-Time $85 / Full-Time $250 monthly credit tiers, and macOS + Windows desktop apps. We have not tested triggers hands-on.”
THE CLAIM
“Introducing Jev @typesafeai powered app triggers. No more babysitting your agents, monitor 1000s of app events for cents. Try it for free.”

Cost
Strawberry Free plan is $0 with 500 monthly credits (site); paid plans from $20/mo. Video cost chart ($0.36 Jev vs $43.31 Opus-class) is the makers' comparison for monitoring events — not an end-to-end bill we measured. TypeSafe lists separate Jev usage pricing on typesafe.ai.
USE IT IF
Teams already on Strawberry who want companions to wait on Gmail, Slack and similar app events instead of polling manually.
SKIP IT IF
Anyone who needs proven trigger reliability, published integration limits, or independently measured cents-per-event costs. The launch video does not demonstrate live software.
