Mike Futia: a 'Yapper' talking-head UGC ad made with Seedance 2.5
Watched in full (9 minutes). A screencast of Scalebot, the presenter's own tool, making a 2-minute direct-to-camera ad for a sleep product with ByteDance's Seedance 2.5 video model through Higgsfield; it's a sales demo, he calls it 'almost one shot' and then a clip fails, and costs aren't shown. Verdict: the briefing method is genuinely useful even without Scalebot; beginner to intermediate, no coding needed, but you need video-generation credits. It has ten things to test.
Try this
- Try the 'Yapper' format: one person telling a story straight to camera, as an AI UGC ad. 01:55
- Compare Seedance 2.5 with a cheaper video model; he finds it pricier but better. 02:08
- Choose your provider with care: he recommends Higgsfield or Key AI and says Fal AI rejects too many clips (his claim). 02:20
- Make your drafts at 480p to save credits. 02:37
- Upscale only the clips you keep to 1080p. 03:01
- Give the script-writing AI a fixed ad framework so it stays on track. 03:30
- Brief a psychological 'wedge', the viewer's specific frustration, instead of a feature list. 03:51
- Use Seedance 2.5's continuous clips of up to 30 seconds for fewer cuts. 05:00
- Write the setting, lighting and posture for every scene to keep the actor consistent. 05:20
- Expect some clips to fail and retry just those, not the whole ad. 06:35
