Claude Code + Obsidian: keep your agent's memory in a notes vault (likely a re-upload; credit @0xrux)
Watched in full (10 minutes). Posted by @0xForce_ but very likely a re-upload of Jared (@0xrux), it shows how to move Claude Code's memory into an Obsidian vault with a master note per project, how-to notes for recurring jobs and daily logs. The '$100K a month' headline is the revenue of his horse-training membership business, not money made by agents, and Claude Code is never actually shown running a task. Verdict: ignore the bait, because the system itself is simple and sensible; beginner to intermediate, no coding (just Markdown notes), but you need Claude Code set up. It has ten things to test.
Try this
- Keep Claude Code's memories in an Obsidian vault instead of its default folder. 00:37
- Merge scattered memory files into fewer notes (he went from about 107 to 17). 01:24
- Keep one master note per project that links to every related note. 02:24
- Create a 'Jobs' folder with one how-to note per recurring task. 03:30
- In each how-to note, tell the agent to read the master note first so it follows the links for context. 04:05
- Replace the contents of memory.md with a line saying all memories now live in the vault, plus the vault's location. 06:15
- Add an anti-clutter rule to claude.md: only create a new note when absolutely necessary, otherwise add to an existing one. 06:38
- Have the agent write a daily log of what it did in each session. 07:21
- Ask for a short bullet-point index at the top of each log so you can scan it quickly. 08:08
- Point several agents at the same vault so they can read each other's logs. 09:30
