AI AGENT · WORTH A LOOK
Instinct
An invite-only personal AI agent you text (iMessage, WhatsApp or email) that does errands with your accounts.
What Instinct does
From Spear Street Technology (d/b/a Instinct), founded by Noah Shinn. Each user's agent has its own computer, phone number and email address. It connects to Google Workspace, Slack, Notion and other services, stores logins in a vault (with a 1Password partnership), and can book, buy, make calls and sign up for services on your behalf.
Good for
- Personal life admin like appointments, returns and bookings
- Hands-off follow-ups over text
- Low-stakes errands you can easily check

Honest take
No red flags in our notes so far
- Reviewers find it genuinely good at life admin, and texting it is a smart interface. But its terms make anything it agrees to binding on you, confirmation steps aren't guaranteed, and its safety claims after a disputed September incident haven't been independently checked. Fine for low-stakes errands; think hard before connecting work or payment accounts. We haven't tested it hands-on. Disclosure: this site uses Grok Bot, a personal agent that competes with Instinct.
