What Minds by Animoca Brands does

Minds (hellominds.ai, also called Animoca Minds) lets you set up persistent AI agents that run in the cloud, remember what you tell them and work in the background. You start from a template such as General Assistant, Email Manager, Recruiter, Personal Chef or an on-chain trading agent, then reach it by email or Telegram; anyone can email your Mind or add it to a group. Minds connect to Gmail, Google Calendar and Drive, Slack, Discord, GitHub and others, pick up "Skills" from a community marketplace (Bazaar) and choose the language model for each task themselves. It runs on Ethoswarm from CryptoSlam (an Animoca-backed company) and is in beta; the alpha launched on 5 February 2026.

Good for

  • Trying an always-on agent you email or text without setting up OpenClaw yourself
  • Crypto users who want an agent with its own on-chain wallet
  • Playing with ready-made agent "characters" and shared community skills

    Honest take

No red flags in our notes so far

    • Easiest way to see what an always-on agent feels like: no install, just email or Telegram, with free credits to start.
    • Made by Animoca Minds Limited in Hong Kong, a subsidiary of the Web3 company Animoca Brands, on CryptoSlam's Ethoswarm. Closed source, crypto-heavy, with agent wallets, a trading agent and MOCA token promotions.
    • Privacy is the catch: its privacy policy says memory can't be switched off, full deletion of what a Mind remembers "cannot be guaranteed", and your data trains its models unless you opt out.
    • Its "#1 on OpenRouter" badge is real for roleplay and creative writing, but it measures tokens processed, not users or how well it gets work done. We haven't tested it.
