@mattpocockuk: three steps to becoming a real software builder
Matt Pocock's ladder: build software for yourself, then for a small internal group, then for the public, and don't feel confident about public-facing apps until real people have used your work; even one tester who uses your app in daily life will show you how forgiving you are of your own product. In a reply he adds that AI hasn't changed this: the hard parts are still hard.
Why it mattersGreat advice for vibe-coders and for the trainers teaching them: AI makes building fast, but quality comes from real users. Get at least one real tester before you sell an app to a client.
