@thsottiaux: Codex and Work now keep your prompt cache permanently
OpenAI's Codex lead says logged-in Codex and Work users now keep their prompt cache for good, so coming back to an old conversation hours or days later no longer loses the cached context; @kimmonismus called it a big upgrade for long coding sessions. Developers on the API get the 12-hour cache covered yesterday.
Why it mattersLong project conversations in Codex should be quicker to pick up again, so it's worth keeping one ongoing conversation per project rather than starting fresh each time.
