Quest's full-life personal advisor pitch: what the evidence shows

OUR VERDICT

Partly fact

Our original verdict: “Partly fact: Quest's personal-agent functions and policy controls are documented; the marketing's implied dependable, personalized life guidance is not established by promotional examples. Founder Vincent Nallatamby (New Quest AI Inc.) launched Quest on 5 Nov 2026 with exact lines that Quest 'studies you like a profiler', is 'believers-only', 'requires radical transparency: full access to your life so your agent can craft your memory', and unlocks a 'personal advisor, always in your corner', plus '100+ wiki files' / relationships mapped and Phone-Use controlling WhatsApp, Instagram or TikTok. A thread follow-up describes reading/responding on WhatsApp and giving items away in a neighborhood dads' group — founder anecdote, not independent verification. Privacy policy documents opt-in per connected app, messaging only in chats you choose, conversation management without asking each time within your instructions while still asking before confidential/sensitive sharing, and that disconnecting an app stops new reads but learned Memory may remain (raw copies for some apps are deleted). Health, money, location and email connectors are listed and optional; that is read/access capability, not proven transaction authority. Terms §7 (Nature of AI output) states output may be inaccurate and is not professional medical, legal, financial or mental-health advice (https://www.new.quest/#terms → assets/legal/terms.html). The ~115s launch video is a scripted narrative advert with simulated messages, not a live product test; missing consent screens in the ad does not prove safeguards are missing. We reviewed these materials; we have not tested Quest hands-on. This is an editorial evaluation of marketing claims against documented controls — not a finding that the software is illegal, that safeguards failed, or that harm occurred.”

How we judge

THE CLAIM

“Introducing Quest, the personal agent that studies you like a profiler. Quest is for believers-only. It requires radical transparency: full access to your life so your agent can craft your memory. If you give it a shot, you'll unlock a personal advisor, always in your corner… Memory from day one: 100+ wiki files… relationships mapped. Phone-Use: … control messaging apps like WhatsApp, Instagram or TikTok.”

  • Exact launch quotes verified in the founder note_tweet (5 Nov 2026): 'studies you like a profiler'; 'believers-only'; 'radical transparency: full access to your life so your agent can craft your memory'; 'personal advisor, always in your corner'; '100+ wiki files' and relationships mapped; Phone-Use with WhatsApp/Instagram/TikTok.
  • Follow-up post x.com Quest can read and respond to WhatsApp; neighborhood dads' group example of giving things away and alerting about suitable items — founder story.

  • ~115s launch video watched: scripted advert, simulated notifications — not hands-on evidence of runtime behavior.
