Latest update

  • 2026-10-27: Design mode becomes Annotate (27 Oct): select elements, draw regions, edit text and batch notes on your running app, then send them to the agent; notes stay attached to the page URL.
  • : Security notice (29 Oct): tampered Claude Code extension versions 2.1.312/2.1.313 in Cursor's marketplace, live for about 11 hours, up to 5,000 users. Fixed in 2.1.314, but users must also remove a planted SSH key and persistence artifacts per Cursor's notice. Microsoft's VS Code Marketplace was not affected.
  • : Agent SDK generally available: define agents as code (Markdown prompts, TypeScript tools), built-in evals and GitHub event replay, deploy to Cursor hosting with one command or self-host. Same day added DeepSeek V4.1 Flash, which Cursor says sits on its CursorBench cost frontier ($0.60-$0.98 per task, Cursor's own benchmark).
  • : Cursor agents can now control a computer (e.g. drive the iOS Simulator to test an app). Docs list computer use under self-hosted cloud agents on macOS/Linux.
