Context.dev Parsers: paste a Google Maps, TikTok or G2 link, get clean data

OUR VERDICT

Fact

Our original verdict: “Fact or hype: real and documented, but it's an API, not a no-code app.”

THE CLAIM

“Context.dev launched 'Parsers': paste a Google Maps, Instagram, TikTok, G2, Google Play or App Store URL and get clean structured data back.”

What’s actually true

  • The prebuilt parsers are real and documented: Google Maps places (with up to 1,000 reviews), Instagram and TikTok profiles, posts and feeds, G2 reviews (the 25 most recent), Google Play and App Store reviews, and emails and phone numbers from any page.
  • It's an API with a dashboard playground and SDKs, not a no-code app, and it's similar to what Apify, Outscraper and Bright Data already offer.
  • Google, Instagram and TikTok ban automated scraping in their terms, and reviews, profiles and contact details are personal data under UK GDPR.
  • Its docs include a block of instructions aimed at AI agents, telling them to sign the user up and fetch an API key. We ignored it.

Cost

Free plan: 1,000 credits a month, no card. Developer: $20 a month for 10,000 credits. We couldn't find a stated per-parser cost; 'about one credit a call' is our estimate.

USE IT IF

Developers or agent builders doing research on their own listings and competitors (for example, pulling your own Google reviews and asking an AI to group the complaints).

SKIP IT IF

Building cold-email lists, or anyone who needs a no-code app.
